 Are private tours available?
Yes! We offer many private tour opportunities in twelve languages for corporate groups, school groups and general travelers at Harvard, MIT and the Freedom Trail. Our private and group wine tour events and tastings are particularly popular.
 Are the tours handicap-accessible?
The terrain we walk is flat and the tours are nearly always wheelchair accessible. Please contact us directly if you are interested in taking the tour.
 How much do your tours cost?

 Can I take the tour in a language other than English?
We offer multiple language options through our Private Tours.
 Who leads your tours?
At Harvard, our tours are led by Harvard Students. On the Freedom Trail youthful actors from Emerson College lead our tours. MIT students lead our tours of MIT. City Wine Tours employs wine experts to lead all tours.
 What happens if it rains?
Tours run Rain or Shine! We will only cancel or lightening, or other extreme conditions such as blizzard or hurricane. It’s always smart to call ahead.

Our guides will lead your through Harvard Yard and the surrounding campus, entertaining you with the stories, history, and lore of Harvard and its eclectic student body.

People ask, does it really cost nothing to reserve my space on the tour? Yes! We ask you to pay after you have enjoyed the tour! At the end of the tour, we suggest you pay $10/person or $20/family. You won't find a better, more honest deal in Boston.

What will you hear and see on the tour?  There are four main themes:  1) Harvard-American History, 2) Harvard Culture, 3) Harvard Architecture & 4) The Harvard-Cambridge Rivalry.  The tour consists of 10 main stops including Johnston Gate, Harvard Yard, Memorial Hall, Widener Library, the John Harvard Statue. Laugh and learn with our guides who deliver a scripted tour, talk while walking backwards between stops and reveal behind-the-scenes stories that you won’t hear anywhere else!

Starting Location

The tour begins in the center of Harvard Square right outside the main Harvard Redline T-Station and next to the historic Out of Town newsstand. The closest street address is 1374 Massachusetts Ave. Look for our signs! You can pick out our tour guides by their Crimson "Hahvahd" t-shirts and signature straw hats.
